Here in Kerlogue Nursing home, we place an emphasis on providing food that meets all nutritional requirements in a tasty, healthy and well presented manner. This involves the FSA guidelines to promote a healthy lifestyle. Residents with special therapeutic diets and specific diets are catered for e.g coeliac and diabetics. Also modified consistency diets are catered for as per Speech and language therapists recommendations.

 

There is a choice at each mealtimes to ensure that all likes and dislikes are provided. A full time chef is available from 8am to 6pm and will where possible provide any requests for mealtimes, if it is a practical request. Staff always take time to get to know each resident’s likes and dislikes to personalise the service as much as possible. All Staff are trained in Dysphagia.
